Every job, invoice and inspection builds up a history against the customer and their vehicle. This article shows you how to search that history to answer questions like when a part was last replaced or what was quoted last visit.
How to Search for Customer and Vehicle History All processed invoices for a customer and vehicle can be accessed through either the Customer or Vehicle details. Search for Vehicle History by Customer Details 1. Type the customer name into the search bar at the top of your Workshop Software page, highlight the correct customer click on to them;
2. Scroll down the page below the Customer Details and list of Customer Vehicles and you will see a list of all invoices created for this customer including any open invoices still in the Job Centre;
Search for Vehicle History using Vehicle Details
1. Type the vehicle rego or VIN into the search bar at the top of your Workshop Software page, highlight the correct vehicle and click on to it;
2. Scroll down the page below the Vehicle Details and you will see a list of all invoices created for this vehicle including any open invoices still in the Job Centre;
Vehicle History can also be accessed using the menu options down the left hand side of Workshop Software, simply click on either Customer or Vehicle, search for the customer or vehicle you are looking for and by clicking on the blue pencil icon you will open the Customer or Vehicle Details screen and can again scroll down to see a list of invoices;
Please Note: THis method will not display imported vehicle history. For imported vehicle history, you will need to produce a vehicle history report.

- You can search for a customer by name, phone number, or email address using the search bar.
- Keeping customer records up to date ensures accurate invoicing and reliable communication via SMS or email.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will this change affect existing invoices for this customer?
Changes to customer details (such as name, address, or contact information) apply to future invoices. Existing completed invoices retain the details that were on the invoice at the time it was created.
