You can email a supplier directly from Workshop Software, with the stock order or invoice attached, rather than switching to your email program. This article shows you how.
There are three ways in which you can send an email to a supplier directly out of Workshop Software; The first way is using the Supplier menu; 1. Click on Suppliers from the menu options on the left hand side of your page; 2. Use the search field at the right of the Suppliers menu bar to search for the supplier you want to email;
3. Click on the orange envelope icon to the far right of the supplier name to open up an email. If you have entered an email address into the Supplier Details it will automatically populate or you can enter one if one doesn't come up. Enter a subject and message and click on the green send button to send the email;
The second way to email a supplier is using the universal search bar at the top of your page;
1. Enter the name of your supplier into the universal search bar at the top of the page;
2. Click on the orange envelope icon to the far right of the supplier name to open up an email. If you have entered an email address into the Supplier Details it will automatically populate or you can enter one if one doesn't come up. Enter a subject and message and click on the green send button to send the email;
The third way is from the Supplier Details screen, click on the blue Email icon next to the suppliers email address; 
Good to Know
- You can search for a supplier by name or account number using the search bar at the top of the suppliers page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will this affect existing supplier invoices or purchase orders?
Changes to supplier details apply going forward. Existing supplier invoices and purchase orders retain the information that was recorded at the time they were created.
