The Mechanic Performance report breaks down each mechanic's invoices by hours worked, hours charged, amount charged, cost, gross profit and profit per hour. This article shows you how to run it in detail or as a summary.
The Mechanic Performance report provides a breakdown of a mechanics performance on each invoice by showing for each mechanic;-
- Invoice number

- Vehicle rego
-
- Hours worked
-
- Hours charged
-
- Difference
-
- Amount charged
-
- Cost
-
- Gross profit
-
- Profit per hour
2. Click on the down arrow icon to the far right of the blue Mechanic Reports menu to expand the menu;
3. Enter the date range you want the report to cover and if you only want a summary showing just the totals for each mechanic the click on the button under Summary so that it says 'YES'. Click on the 'green printer' icon at the far right to generate the report, the report will open in a new tab and can then be printed;

Good to Know
- Use the date filters to narrow the report to a specific period. This is useful for monthly or quarterly reviews.
- You can print or export the report results for your records or to share with your accountant.
- This setting can be toggled on or off at any time. The change takes effect immediately once you click Save.

Can I filter the mechanic performance report by date range?
Yes. Use the date range fields at the top of the report to specify the period you want to review. This lets you narrow results to a specific week, month, or custom date range.
Can I export or print this report?
You can use your browser's built-in print function to print the report or save it as a PDF. Open the report, press Ctrl+P (or Cmd+P on Mac), and choose your printer or select Save as PDF.
Can I restrict what an employee can access in Workshop Software?
Yes. Workshop Software allows you to set permissions for each user, controlling which areas of the system they can view or edit. Check the user settings for available permission options.
