Run a Work In Progress Report

The Work In Progress report lists the jobs in your Job Centre for a date range, including jobs that are booked in, in progress, waiting for parts or completed but not yet processed. This article shows you how to run it.

At any time you can run a report for any specific date period for jobs that are in your job centre. This report will show you jobs that have the following statuses
    • Booked in
    • Work in progress
    • Waiting for Parts
    • Completed (invoice not processed)
1. To run the report, click on Reports > Business Reports from the left hand navigation bar in Workshop Software Left hand menu with Reports expanded and a red arrow pointing to Business Reports 2. Enter in your begin and end date for the search period you want 4. Click on the Summary toggle to say 'Yes' 5. Click on green 'printer' icon to generate a PDF report (yellow icon allows you to download as a CSV file - this is available for Gold Subscription users) Work In Progress report with numbered markers on the begin date, end date, summary toggle and the print and export icons 6. Good to Know

  • Use the date filters to narrow the report to a specific period. This is useful for monthly or quarterly reviews.
  • You can print or export the report results for your records or to share with your accountant.
  • This setting can be toggled on or off at any time. The change takes effect immediately once you click Save.

Can I filter the work in progress report by date range?

Yes. Use the date range fields at the top of the report to specify the period you want to review. This lets you narrow results to a specific week, month, or custom date range.

Can I export or print this report?

You can use your browser's built-in print function to print the report or save it as a PDF. Open the report, press Ctrl+P (or Cmd+P on Mac), and choose your printer or select Save as PDF.
