Edit a Booking in Workshop Software

Bookings change: a customer arrives later, needs extra work or swaps vehicles. This article shows you how to open a booking in the diary and change its date, time, mechanic, vehicle or notes.

You can edit a booking in Workshop Software as long as it has not been started or converted into a job card.

Steps to Edit a Booking:

Open the Booking Diary:

Navigate to the Booking Diary and locate the booking by selecting the specific day in the Booking Calendar. Click on the customer’s name associated with the booking. Ensure you select the correct customer and verify which mechanic the booking is assigned to. Make Changes to the Booking:

The following details can be edited:

Customer Order Number Booking Date Due By Date Description Products: You can add or delete products, but at least one labour line must remain on the booking. Mechanic: The mechanic can be changed or added if one was included in the original booking. Estimated Hours: Adjust the estimated time for the booking. Event Notes and Job Card Notes: Edit or add any relevant notes.

Save Changes:

Once you have made all necessary edits, click the green Save button at the bottom-right of the page to apply the changes.

Good to Know

  • Make sure you click Save after making your changes. If you navigate away before saving, your changes will be lost.

Can customers see this in the online booking diary?

If you have the public online booking diary enabled, customers can book appointments through it. The settings you configure here control what is available in the internal and/or public diary. Check your online booking settings for customer-facing options.
