GST Not Required For Your Business

If your business is not registered for GST (tax) and you integrate with an accounting program, or you see the error 'Please change Tax Settings', this article explains how to correct your tax settings in Workshop Software. The process applies to Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks.

Error:  Please change Tax Settings Resolve  You will need to do the following steps, this process applies for XERO, MYOB AND QuickBooks, first check your tax settings in your chart of accounts to make sure that all accounts associated with Workshop Software are set up with the correct tax settings. To do this you will either need to reach out to your accountant/bookkeeper or your accounting adviser. In Workshop Software: Go to > Settings > Company Settings > Tax Settings > Tax Name> Here you apply you tax setting > Select Purchase Tax Rate > select Sales Tax Rate > Save Workshop Software gst not required for your business showing > settings > company settings > tax settings > tax name> here... Then go to > Integrations >  Accounting Integrations > Select either XERO, MYOB or QuickBooks > Make sure your Sales Tax and Purchase tax are set up correctly > you can do this by pressing on the drop down box and selecting your Tax Setting > Save Workshop Software screen showing then go to > integrations > accounting integrations > select either xero, myo... Then Check Your Chart of Accounts,  

Good to Know

  • You can find this option under Settings > Company Settings in the left-hand menu.
  • Make sure you click Save after making your changes. If you navigate away before saving, your changes will be lost.
