This article explains what to do if you are locked out of Workshop Software after too many failed login attempts.
Workshop Software includes a login security mechanism that temporarily locks an account after multiple failed login attempts. This protects your account from unauthorised access.
QuickBooks Integrated Accounts
If your Workshop Software account is integrated with QuickBooks Online, repeated failed login attempts may trigger a lockout from the QuickBooks authentication system. In this case, you will need to wait approximately 1 hour before attempting to log in again.
This lockout is enforced at the QuickBooks authentication level and cannot be overridden by Workshop Software support staff.
Workshop Software without QuickBooks Integration
If you are not integrated with QuickBooks a login lockout may still occur after multiple failed attempts as a standard security measure. Wait a short period and try again.
If you are still unable to log in after waiting, contact the Workshop Software support team at support@workshopsoftware.com.
For Azure/Entra SSO Accounts
If your company uses single sign-on (SSO) via Microsoft Entra/Azure, login lockouts are managed by your organisation’s Azure Active Directory.
Contact your IT administrator to unlock your account.

Good to Know
If you share a login with other users, ask your colleagues to stop attempting to log in until the lockout period expires.
Contact your Workshop Software administrator to reset your password if the self-service reset does not work.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the lockout last?
For QuickBooks-integrated accounts, the lockout lasts approximately 1 hour. For standard accounts, the lockout period is shorter — try again after a few minutes.
Can Workshop Software support unlock my account immediately?
Workshop Software support cannot override a QuickBooks-initiated lockout. For standard account lockouts, contact support and they can assist.
