Locked out of Workshop Software due to too many tries to log in

Help Desk and GuidesUpdated 20 Sep 20262 min read

This article explains what to do if you are locked out of Workshop Software after too many failed login attempts.

Workshop Software includes a login security mechanism that temporarily locks an account after multiple failed login attempts. This protects your account from unauthorised access.

Yellow Warning Icon

Warning: If your account is currently locked out please stop attempting to sign in and notify any colleagues who use the same account, you will need to wait for the lock out to finish before trying again or reseting your password.

QuickBooks Integrated Accounts

If your Workshop Software account is integrated with QuickBooks Online, repeated failed login attempts may trigger a lockout from the QuickBooks authentication system. In this case, you will need to wait approximately 1 hour before attempting to log in again.

This lockout is enforced at the QuickBooks authentication level and cannot be overridden by Workshop Software support staff.

Workshop Software without QuickBooks Integration

If you are not integrated with QuickBooks a login lockout may still occur after multiple failed attempts as a standard security measure. Wait a short period and try again.

If you are still unable to log in after waiting, first contact your internal Workshop Software Administrator, if they are unable to help contact the Workshop Software's support team at support@workshopsoftware.com.

For Azure/Entra SSO Accounts

If your company uses single sign-on (SSO) via Microsoft Entra/Azure, login lockouts are managed by your organisation's Azure Active Directory.

Contact your IT administrator to unlock your account.

If you have Forgotten your Password

Use the Forgot Password link on the login page to reset your password. For more details, see the related article: Reset your Workshop Software Password.

Good to Know

If you share a login with other users, ask your colleagues to stop attempting to log in until the lockout period expires.

Contact your Workshop Software administrator to reset your password if the self-service reset does not work.
