Set up your mechanic's work schedule in Workshop Software

This article shows you how to set a mechanic's daily start and end times and break times in Admin, and where to set days off or unavailable time.

The purpose of this article is to show how to add work times to a Mechanic, and then adjust these when you need to. 1. Go To Admin. 2. Choose a Mechanic. 3. At the bottom of the screen you have an area called "Schedule". Here you set up the start and end times for the mechanic for each day: Workshop Software screen showing here you set up the start and end times for the mechanic for each day 4. Next, set up any break times they may have (lunch etc). If this is the same for Monday- Friday, press "Persist": Workshop Software screen showing if this is the same for monday- friday, press " persist " 6. Press save to make these changes. You can confirm that these changes have been made by going to Settings - Schedule. In addition, if you want to set days off/unavailable times, you can do this in the schedule screen as well, as this will show you date specific details for your mechanics.  

Good to Know

  • Make sure you click Save after making your changes. If you navigate away before saving, your changes will be lost.
  • Review your settings periodically to ensure they still match your workshop's current workflow.
